It wouldn’t be any smooth-sailing for the telecom giants as released First Division fixtures presents a tough start for Tapha Manneh’s troop regiment.
They will start the new campaign with a thrilling tie against Wallidan November 21st, the league official curtain-raiser at the Independence Stadium.
Up next for Gamtel will be another stop at the Serrekunda East Park where fans will be treated to their second capital derby of the new league against Real de Banjul after Banjul United -Wallidan clash.
The Telecommunication Boys sashayed over Real de Banjul to scoop last season’s domestic title and commencement of the new season will avail Tapha Manneh ample time to prepare for the Orange Caf Champions League preliminary round which begins February.
Bombada takes on Steve Biko in Brikama with Armed Forces slugging it out with Samger and Brikama United facing Serrekunda United who managed to stay up following a sluggish take off the previous term.
Meanwhile, the country’s second tier’s fixtures is also out with Bakau United opening their campaign against PSV Wellingara at the West Park while Blue Stars battle newly promoted Lion of Banjul December 3rd at Manjai.
