Abdoulie G. Dibba Bubacarr Dicko and Abdoulie Njie, who were arrested on Monday 22nd June 2015 for violating the president’s pronouncement that non-Gambian local fishermen should not fish in the country’s territorial waters, are still reporting on bail at Janjanbureh Police Station. According to sources, Dicko and Njie were arrested while fishing at Jarumeh Koto and taken to Janjanbureh where they were detained from Monday to Wednesday before being granted police bail in the sum of D4000 (Four thousand Dalasi). Since then they have reported on bail five times. The last time they reported, according to the source, was on Monday, 20th July 2015.
