A goal from Gambia youth international Domingo Manneh spared hosts Brikama United of their blushes and gaffer Modou Lamin Nyassi insists his side aren’t deserving of losing.

Real de Banjul raced into an early lead two goals up before hosts and title defenders Brikama United fought back to equalise 2-2 in a fixture witnessing four goals.

And harping on the sidelines of the fixture before a somewhat impressive turnout, Modou Lamin Nyassi said: ‘We did not deserve losing the match as the boys worked hard to come back and fight back. It was a tough game as Real are a solid team.’

‘Everyone did well in the first half but the goal that was conceded wasn’t that good. We would love to collect the maximum points but collecting a point against the champion isn’t bad either,’ Ebou Jarra, in his first season as Real de Banjul’s coach having crossed the divide from Armed Forces, said.
