Chimo won the bragging rights against Newtown thanks to two unanswered goals. It was a curtain-raiser that didn’t fell short of being a crowd-puller cracking duel certainly marking beginning of a football fever that wouldn’t last until in coming months. Unarguably, it sets the pattern with a plethora of games to be played this week into the weekend. Dertusa graced week one with a duel against Tally Bu Bess. That would be followed by another scintillating showdown between Amasa and Spare Bank with Gidda Arrow crossing daggers with 1^st Infantry Battalion. Headquarters/Borderline takes aim at Real de Missira on Friday. Sealight takes on Nema Youths and Sky Power up against Gidda Youth. This will be one of the games to be played on the same day.
