The death has been announced of Dr. Borro Suso, an academic and member
of the United Democratic Party (UDP), on Saturday, 29 August 2015.
As a leading UDP stalwart, he was the Chairman of the Planning
Committee and a member of its National Executive.Dr. Suso has a long experience as a civil servant, who also served in
the capacity of Director of Physical Planning during the first
republic.
In his work in academia, he was among the first Gambian lecturers at
the University of The Gambia from its embryonic stage to its
development into a fully-fledged university. He was however removed
from the University in early 2009.
At the time of his death, Dr, Suso was lecturing at the Stratford
College of Management.
Foroyaa has learnt that Dr. Suso was buried at his home town of
Bansang in the Central River Region (CRR) on Sunday, 30 August 2015.
He was said to have died at the age 70 years.]]>
