Banjul Central Basketball were New Year’s Day feted champions of Basketball City Cultural Carnival Banjul Central BasketballTournament.
The central outfit piped Tabacco Road to the coveted trophy in the finals of a five-day tourney at the Manneh Sillah Memorial Basketball Lawn, Independence Drive, Banjul Central, secured 51 points against T-Road’s 38.The tournament comprised Banjul South, Banjul Central, Banjul North and Tobacco Road.

Ndongo, head of the organizing Committee doubling as the Vice Chairman of the Basketball Federation, extolled players for their commitment adding the championship targets to revitalize the sport in the Capital City.
Winners, BJL Central pocketed D3000 cash and a trophy with D2000 for T-Road Team as runners-up.

Prizes were sponsored by Sweden-based Yusupha Mboge dubbed Yankee who played for T-Road during the tournament.
