Barcelona are ready to reignite their interest in Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Girezmann this summer.
The France international rejected the Catalan giants last summer having agreed a £260,000-a-week contract to play at the Nou Camp.
Griezmann’s £200million release clause is set to drop to £129m on July 1 and Ernesto Valverde’s side are looking to take advantage.
The World Cup winner has made it clear to close friends that he would be willing to accept the salary he agreed with Barcelona – £7m lower than what he is on now – according to Mundo Deportivo.
But polls in the Spanish press show that Barca supporters do not want Griezmann to sign after he turned his back on them.
The former Real Sociedad forward is understood to have become frustrated by Atletico’s exit to Juventus in the Champions League last 16.
The final will be held at Diego Simeone’s side’s home stadium, the Wanda Metropolitano.
Second-placed Atletico face Barcelona on Saturday as they look to close the 10-point gap at the top the league.
