By Kebba Jeffang Mr. Bai Jobe Njie, the father of Modou Njie, an ex-military officer of the Gambia Armed Forces who was said to be part of the insurgents that attacked the Presidential palace is still missing 32 days after he was picked up. A source said, “Njie has not been seen and his whereabouts is not known to the family since his arrest around 2 am , Friday morning, 2nd January, 2015. We are just praying hard for him to return soon in peace but we know nothing about his condition as at now. We are worried.” It could be recall that Foroyaa reported earlier that Bai Jobe Njie is a father of Modou Njie who was a member of The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) before leaving for Germany sometime ago. He is said to be involved in the 30th December, 2014 attack on the state house. A source who spoke to Foroyaa at that time said he was picked up from his residence at Tallinding Dumos on the 2nd January, 2015 and was led to board a numberless pick-up vehicle and whisked away by two plain clothes officers. A statement released by the government indicated that one Modou Njie was captured and was helping them with their investigation.
