Baboucarr Sey of Paradise FM radio station told Foroyaa yesterday that he will appear before the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court today.
He said when he reported at the police station yesterday morning he was detained till in the evening when he was released and told that he would be arraigned in court today.
Mr Sey is facing two charges.
The charge against him relates to a meeting held by the residents of Kololi, Manjai and Bakoteh to protest the selling of land which they said is reserved land and that Kanifing Municipal Council has no right to sell the land to the estate agencies.
The disputed land has two football fields and a vast plot of land which the people opined should be used for the interest of development of the area and should not be sold to any estate agency.
A Journalist and also a footballer of Johannes Football Club of Kololi, he was one of those who felt that the land should not be sold but rather used for the development of Kololi and the surroundings.
