Since the ferry services used to link Senegal to The Gambia and we used to earn income from TransGambia transportation, the building of a bridge should have automatically been linked to management service by sales so that the earnings would be able to sustain and expand ferry services in other areas and further upkeep the bridge up to standard.
Without a source of reliable income, the ferry services will continue to need huge financial support from the Gambia Ports Authority. It is therefore necessary to give an objective report on the plight of the ferries.
