ARE DOCTORS CIVIL SERVANTS?

QUESTION OF THE DAY

Foroyaa has reliably learnt that many doctors are not allocated government transports and do not have easy access to government loans to buy transports to enable them to move with speed to carry out their different functions.

It is very significant for doctors to have mobility and government should ensure that they have access to transport loans to facilitate such mobility. Foroyaa will undertake to investigate the status of doctors under the public service structure. Are they appointees of boards of directors of hospital or appointees of public service commission? Are appointment letters issued by the personnel management office? All of those who wish to give information regarding their status would be contacted to gather sufficient information on their status.
