The high-profile murder case involving Ousainou Bojang and his sister, Amie Bojang, failed to proceed because the doctor, who was supposed to testify in the Court was absent.

Ousainou is accused of killing two (2) policemen while his sister is accused of helping him to escape to Senegal.

Dr Gabriel Ogun, the seventh prosecution witness (PW7) was supposed to appear to be cross-examined by the lawyers for Ousainou and his sister.

Director of Public Prosecutions, Abdul Maita Yusuf informed the court that Dr Gabriel Ogun, the witness, had left for Dakar to complete necessary procedures related to the post-examination. He will return on the 2nd of May.

“On Sunday, evening I received a call from the witness, Dr. Gabriel Ogun that he was travelling to Dakar to prepare for a post-examination and he will be back on the 2nd of May,” DPP Yusuf said.

He applied for an adjournment to enable the Doctor to appear on the next adjourned date. The defence lawyers did not oppose the request for adjournment and the case was adjourned to the 6th of May 2024.
