The Lawyers representing Senegalese business tycoon, AbdoulayeThiam on Monday, 10 June 2024 filed an appeal challenging the decision of a Senegalese court in acquitting Aisha Fatty of the blackmailing charge filed against her.

The court exonerated Aisha Fatty by acquitting and discharging her of the blackmail complaint brought against her by ex-lover, AbdoulayeThiam.

The appeal is against the judgment, issued by the court of flagrante delictos on June 7, 2024, in the criminal charges involving the Public Prosecutor, AbdoulayeThiam as the civil party, and Aisha Fatty.

The lawyers lodged a Notice of Appeal, numbered 0348, to the Master Mame Mor BITEYE, the Registrar Administrator of the High Court in Dakar Hors Class. AbdoulayeThiam aimed to challenge all aspects of the judgment rendered on June 7, 2024.

The Judgment cleared Aisha Fatty of allegations involving illicit gathering of personal data, dissemination of morally objectionable images, and the retrieval of her blue iPhone 15.

The Notice of Appeal indicated their intent is to provide further details and grounds for the appeal at a later date.
