A country must rely on its material and human resources to attain economic development not by exporting the labour of its citizens. The Minister of Trade has indicated that 41 percent of the youth population is underemployed and 48 percent unemployed. This means that we have the human resources in abundance to develop the country. What we need to know is how to mobilise our human resources and organise our economy using sovereign national wealth to meet the needs of the people.
