The accused person has been charged with giving false information to the office of the president after complaining about the alleged mistreatment meted on him at his work place and is now standing trial before principal magistrate Hilary Abeke.

His lawyer Borry S. Touray, on Monday, informed the court that he may not be in court as he has another matter in the rural court the following day. He however noted that he could be represented in the matter by one of his lawyer colleagues.

On Tuesday, without the matter being called in court, this reporter gathered that it could not proceed and was adjourned to 15th February, 2015 at 1pm to hear from the second prosecution witness.

Meanwhile, according to defence counsel, he will be anticipating that the Managing Director of the Banjul International Airport to give evidence as witness number two for the prosecution.
