WHAT IS THEIR CRIME?
The two Imams are still in detention and charges have not been preferred against them. Their families are in a dilemma as to what they have done.
Justice, fairness and mercy are triplets. They are irretrievably linked. No person could be subjected to inhumane and degrading treatment by any authority who is just, fair and merciful.
We therefore hope that the authorities who are preventing their release would rethink and allow justice to rule their minds and mercy to rule their hearts so that the New Year would not find them in custody.
Nothing is more unjust than to detain a person without trial for more than the 72 hours limit established by the Constitution.
