Muhammad Bah Fatoumata Garango, a female French teacher residing in Brikama in the West Coast Region, is seeking for financial assistance to undergo hip joint replacement abroad. Madam Garango is diagnosed to be suffering from coccyarthrosis (complete disappearance of the hip joint) and intense osteoporosis on her left hip. According to a medical report from the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH), the patient is suffering from a serious left pain which she got when delivering her child. The report therefore recommended for partial hip replacement overseas as the operation cannot be conducted in the Gambia.
