Midfielder Mamut Saine has recuperated from injury that forced to withdraw from Gambia Namibia game and left him sidelined for two weeks.
Saine was one of invited players expected to play a big part in The Scorpions game. The midfielder, trading his services in Greece league got called up after been voted the best foreign midfielder of the Greece second tier last season.
The former Gambia U-20 playmaker was summoned to provide creativity to Gambia’s midfield that has been wholly defensive. However, the 21-year-old was forced to wait for another time for his first senior international debut having sustained an injury in his second tier club’s last match.
Saine however has returned to the fold helping his side to a 1-0 win in the league and a Cup victory over Olympiakos Volso yesterday afternoon.
