WILL THE STATE EXPERIMENT ON LEGAL MIGRATION CONTINUE?

11

Foroyaa has been reliably informed that 39 Gambians were recruited to do farm work in Spain for three months as an experiment on a labour contractual scheme involving agricultural workers from The Gambia serving as contract workers in Spain on a periodic basis.

Apparently, the time for the workers to return is due. What is gathered so far is that three of the workers had earlier disappeared without trace and thirty of the remaining workers were not at the airport to pick up their flight on their date of departure. Only six boarded their flight as agreed.

It is therefore a challenge that needs to be addressed.

The issue of migration should be at the top of the agenda in the discourse of African leaders and their European and American counterparts. The political stability of African countries is at risk as many of their citizens are being pursued for deportation. Foroyaa will caution all African leaders not to accept deportation on a mass scale. They should instead come together to discuss the challenge and proffer solution.
