The Coroner’s Inquest into the death in custody of Bora Colley, (a former brigadier general who served under Ex President Jammeh), is complete and the Chief Justice has issued a press release stating that the conclusion of the Coroner is that he died of natural causes. The human rights commission needs to find out whether died in custody without facing trial. If this is the case then his family should pursue compensation claims.
Should the nation not do what is right, Amnesty International will ultimately follow the case. It is a matter that cannot be swept under the carpet. It should be faced squarely and remedied.
