As the 2024/2025 groundnut trade season came to a close the GGC management expressed the desire to conclude the trade season without any liability left in fulfilling its obligation to its partners. The management invited the media to go from secco to secco in order to engage in reconciliation effort.
Foroyaa has witnessed that out of 101 seccos, 31 seccos were visited. After the visit, Foroyaa continued to receive information from secco managers on outstanding claims and potential disputes which have been forwarded to the GGC management for consideration and comments. According to GGC they made arrangements with their partners, especially the Federation of Cooperatives Societies to conduct final consideration of all issues to come to final reconciliation.
All those who have forwarded claims or issues to Foroyaa on the groundnut trade season should be assured that they have been and will continue to be forwarded to the appropriate GGC, QMoney or FACs for appropriate answer which will be published for public information.
