There is news in social media that the corpse of a Malian citizen by the name of Anna Trawally is at the hospital waiting for relatives to take the body to conduct proper burial rites.
The purpose of having consuls and embassies in countries is to take care of citizens of the countries they represent. Hence once a corpse is identified at the hospital, it would be logical to assume that the ministry of foreign affairs should be informed immediately so that any embassy or consulate representing the country of the deceased would be informed to take responsibility of reaching out to families and those in authority to give the dead body a fitting burial. We hope that such an approach would be adopted if it is not already known.
