In response to a story published by Foroyaa, the public relations officer at Kanifing General Hospital called Foroyaa to say that what Foroyaa published was wrong.
In a story published on 9th January, 2025, it was indicated that,
“As of November 12, 2024, Kanifing General Hospital in Kanifing lacks paracetamol tabs, amoxicillin caps both 250mg/500mg, septrin tabs, augmentin tabs, ciprofloxacin tabs, doxycycline caps, ampiclox caps, normal saline, folic acid, Hb12, vitamin c tabs /syrup.”
The official stated that it is wrong to state that paracetamol was lacking because even before 12th November a fresh supply of paracetamol was received and it has always been available. He did not deny that the other drugs listed above were not available.
