What is a truism is that those who serve humanity are always remembered by generations yet unborn? Deyda Hydara is still being remembered by colleagues, family members, friends and other concerned persons. Despite the fact that he was murdered 20 years ago, the foul deed is still being condemned.
On the other hand, Deyda the victim is still being held in high esteem. The day of his murder is commemorated in remembrance of his life and work.
The inspiring messages given during yesterday’s remembrance ceremony are reminders that the good works that people do on this earth live after them. Hence all of us should shun evil deeds and yearn to do what is good on this earth. Those who do good deeds do not die. They live in the hearts and minds of the living as long as there is life on this earth.
