The United Nation was established to ensure that the atrocities of war which enraged and outraged the conscience of humankind during the first and Second World Wars would never be perpetrated again
The massacre perpetrated by the suicidal forces of Hamas and the atrocities being perpetrated by the genocidal forces of the Netanyahu camp in Gaza and now tilting towards Lebanon and the devastating war of attrition that has developed after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is tormenting the UN Secretary General beyond expression in words. He has told the world leaders assembled in the US that the gross disregard of the principles of peaceful resolution of conflict and the spirit of good neighbourliness is making 21st Century planet earth the worst place to live in.
It is now time for the world leaders to tell each other and their peoples the truth. There will be peace in Palestine if there is cease fire and the pursuit of a two state solution.. The genocidal forces in Israel are not interested in a two state solution. Hence, the cease fire is being ignored and Lebanon is being transformed into another Gaza if world leaders standby and watch things to happen.
History has record of the Rwandan genocide which witnessed the massacre of over half a Million people. Over 40000 Palestinians have been murdered and the counting is on. It will be an unpardonable act of gross negligence if the leaders of the world stand and watch another 40000 to be massacred In Lebanon.
The time to act to stop genocide is now. All countries in the Middle East are ready to be in peace with Israel if there is a cease fire in Gaza. If the war continues it should be clear to the Israeli people that it is due to the Israeli leadership’s refusal to agree on a cease fire in Gaza.
