The Gambia Police Force announced that it has reshuffled its top rank management. This will take effect next week Monday, 13 May 2024.
ASP Modou Musa Sisawo, the Police Spokesperson said this came following the retirement of former Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Landing Bojang.
AIG Demba Sowe has been redeployed from his position in the police administration unit to the Crime Management Unit. AIG Ebrima Bah was also moved from Police Operations Unit to Police Administration. Regional Commissioner Pateh Jallow responsible for the Kanifing Municipality has been appointed Acting AIG of Police handling Operations.
ASP Sisawo said there were other transfers within the regional commissioners and some unit heads. He said this is in line with their commitment to optimize its operational effectiveness and enhancing service delivery.
