State and non state actors are arming themselves to show capacity to destroy lives and property without any strong international body to advocate for peaceful co-existence of countries and peoples.
In the past, countries go to war because of different ideologies. However, the war between Israel and Hamas, Russia and Ukraine are not about ideology. Narrow nationalism is raising its ugly head all over the world. Unless the trend is reversed the 21st century, which seems to be marked by an end to the old, will in fact witness the hottest wars based on artificial intelligence, laser guided missiles and drones that will spread like flies all over the globe to make civilization to crumble because of lack of sensitivity to human life.
