Police Arrest 60 Year Old Man  Suspected of Murdering a Teenage Girl

Police Spokesperson Cadet Assistant Superintendent Modou Musa Sisawo, has on Saturday 13th April 2024, informed this medium that Police have arrested a 60-year-old man resident of Latrikunda Sabaji in connection with the alleged murder of one Fatou Drammeh, a 17-year-old  student.

Mr Sisawo said according to the report they received, the victim fell from the third floor of a building and died.

PRO Sisawo said the police are investigating the matter and are yet to charge the alleged murder suspect.

“We are yet to determine whether the victim was murdered or not, but our men are already doing the investigation and the alleged suspect will be subsequently charged,” he said.

He said the body of the deceased is currently lying at the Edward Francis Teaching Hospital mortuary in Banjul.

“The victim, Fatou Drammeh, who is 17-year-old of age was a student of Latrikunda Sabiji School,” he said.

Sisawo concluded by urging the public to exercise restraint and report matters to the police for proper handling of domestic issues.
