Week-long CCM Dialogue Ends

The week-long Coordinating Committee Meeting (CCM) of Edution stakeholders, has finally come to an end after a series of deliberations and report presentations of various Schools.

In his message of appreciation, the Permanent Secretary, at the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) Ebrima Sisawo, expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for participating in the week-long exercise, and appealed for a more collaborative effort and partnership in the realisation of the National Education Policy Objectives, after the CCM. He underlined that all the concerns raised and observations made during the CCM, will be followed up to ensure due compliance.

On his part, the National Assembly Member for Foni Bintang Karanai Constituency, Bakary Badgie, who also doubles as the Vice Chairperson of the Select Committee on Education and ICT Training, called for the continuous support and encouragement of young teachers, while commending MoBSE for a successful CCM.

As she declared the CCM closed, MoBSE Minister Claudiana Cole, highlighted the significance of the convergence. She hailed all participants particularly MRC-Holland for their unflinching support to the Education Sector and equally extended gratitude to the entire teaching fraternity through Gambia Teachers’ Union (GTU). She reiterated the need for working together in the realisation of the Education Policy Objectives.

The next CCM is scheduled to take place in Region 4.
