Muhammed B.S. Jallow Appointed Gambia’s New VP

President Adama Barrow has appointed Mubammed B. S. Jallow as the country’s new Vice President, effective 24th February 2023. This information was conveyed to the public through a press release from Statehouse on Friday 24th February 2023.

According to the information, Vice president Muhammed Jallow is an experienced civil servant who served in different capacities from an unqualified teacher, to permanent secretary in various ministries, and was also a Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service, and retired in 2020. The information further indicates that Mr. Jallow also worked at the Senegalo-Gambia Secretariat as Deputy Executive Secretary, as a representative of the Gambia.
