RESIDENTS OF BORDER VILLAGES IN FONI NEED URGENT ATTENTION

104

People living in villages close to the border in the Fonis are going through trying moments. They do not feel secure to move about to conduct their daily affairs including economic ventures. Lives and livelihoods are not secure in an area where the border is porous and ill defined.

Donating cooking utensils in the Fonis will not solve the problem of insecurity in the region. The people in this area are looking for means of survival and security and are yearning for government support.

According to section 1(2) of the Constitution it is the responsibility of government to take charge of their wellbeing.
