Lawmakers to Debate on the 2023 Estimates of Revenue, Expenditure on Wednesday

The National Assembly Members cum Lawmakers of the Gambia, will on Wednesday 23rd November 2022 commence the debate on the Gambia’s 2023 estimates of revenue and expenditure.

This as indicated by the office of the Clerk in the Fourth Ordinary Session dubbed Budget session, will commence on Wednesday the 23rd of November 2023 and will continue and conclude on Thursday, the 24th November 2023.

During the debate the lawmakers are expected to make their contributions on the national budget for the fiscal year 2023, in terms what amount of money should be cut or reallocated to the state entities, to finance their respective development projects.

“The National Assembly will on Wednesday will commence debate on the 2023 estimates of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2023 in line with Standing Order 86 (7) of the National Assembly of the Republic of the Gambia Debate on the 2023 Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure of the Republic,” indicated the Clerk’s Office.

Accordingly, the Office of the Clerk indicated that pursuant to Standing Order 90 Committee of Supply on the 2023 Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure of the Republic of The Gambia, which motion will be tabled before the assembly by the Gambia’s Chief controller, Minister Seedy Keita, slated for Saturday 26th November 2023.
