Five Gambian athletes have been offered scholarships worth over three 
million dalasis, Foroyaa Sport can report.
The quintet are rising starlet Adama Jammeh from prison service , Tina Bass, Alieu Joof, Assan Ceesay who are to attend IAAF High Performance Centre in Senegal with distance runner Omar Jammeh off to Kenya.
The $80,000 scholarships are granted by the Olympic Solidarity via the Gambia Olympic Bureau. The move is taken to aid athletes’ push to secure a ticket to the Olympic Games in Rio Janerio.
The selected athletes are expected to leave town as soon as all paper work are finalized.]]>
