American International University Signs Agreement with UTAH University

U Signs Agreement with UTAH Universitywith the University of UTAH, United States of America. The Deputy Permanent Secretary (DPS) at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology Madi O. Jatta in a statement said AIU is recognized as one of the sub regions great institutions of science and teaching. He noted that it has all the ingredients and brilliant minds to produce a powerful workforce of professionals that would usher in a new age of rapid development. According to him, the Higher Education Ministry will continue to support and create an enabling environment for AIU in its quest to dispense higher education service delivery in this country and in particular the implementation of agreements such as this one which has direct relevance to this country’s education agenda. He said American International University community has embarked on an exiting journey and as a Ministry they are grateful for this opportunity to join them in this work. He urged them to ensure that, this agreement does not gather dust and should be implemented as soon as possible. The ministry will be monitoring each phase of the implementation process of this agreement as part of its mandate, he concluded. Mr. Mark Harris one of the members of UTAH University said this is a collaboration between the University of UTAH and AIU, “We are happy that we have an agreement with the AIU and it went well. We hope for the two universities to meet soon,” he concluded. Mr. Scott Jonkins another member of the UTAH University described the agreement as an opportunity for the prospect of both Institutions. Last year, Mr. Jonkins explained that they began with some mentorship with some of the students and they helped them to mentor some of their graduates work. He stated that this is their first time in the Gambia and hopefully more trips to come for them to help alleviate the professional on amnesia in West Africa. Micheal Behrens, another member of UTAH University said this initiative is meant to help the students in doing their training on amnesia nursing. The doctors are from the faculty of amnesia.]]>
