Should There Be A Law Requiring The IEC To Conduct Elections Of Officers Of Political Parties?

152

QUESTION OF THE DAY

The suspension of a political party because of disputed elections did raise the question whether it would not be prudent to allow the IEC to be present to preside over elections of officers according to the Constitution and rules of procedure of a given party. It would be very unhealthy for parties to become divided after congresses thus influencing the IEC to encroach on the sovereignty of individual parties. Foroyaa will carry out a voice pop to find out what the political parties in particular  and the people in general think about  the supervision of intra party elections by the IEC.
