QUESTION OF THE DAY
The executive is not forthcoming with answers on this important question. There are only two roads to address the challenges of the constitution. One road is an executive initiative and the other a parliamentary initiative.
The executive may bring a Bill to amend the constitution but this would require two publication of the bill in the Gazette, but nothing to that effect has been done .
On the other hand, parliament will sit in March. The Speaker may allow a motion to rescind the decision by the minority in parliament to prevent the Constitution Promulgation Bill to go to the Committee stage by depriving it of two thirds majority.
