By Sulayman Bah Willy Abraham has frowned over the sudden changes to the tie againstWilly Abraham ES Setif by Caf Champions League Organising Committee (OC). Real were initially scheduled to travel to North Africa for the first leg of the first round qualifiers but a dramatic u-turn by thetournament’s Organising Committee means that the Gambian team will now be hosting the Algerians first before traveling out for the second-leg. Reacting to the change of the initial schedule, Real de Banjul’s president Willy Araham said: ‘I am disappointed that we will host the first leg after we were informed that we will play in Sétif first and according to the schedule, we made preparations to travel to Algeria and we were set to leave on Tuesday morning, but this new development means we shift our attention to hosting which isn’t a problem.” Against a solid and cash-loaded adversary, the All Whites would require a serious preparation in order to take advantage of playing at home and stand on a firm footing and which Abraham agrees with. “It is vital that we make the most of our home advantage to ensure the team is in a strong position when travelling to Algeria for the return leg two weeks later,” said Abraham. “We appeal to all our supporters and well-wishers in the country to come out in big numbers, get behind the team and show our visitors just what it means to be a Real de Banjul fan!!” he concluded. In 2012, Real got booted out in the preliminary round when they faced Morocco’s Fus de Rabat.]]>
