By Sulayman Bah Real de Banjul’s Ebrima Sanneh has taken a breather from Gambian football agreeing a move to East Africa, Kenya. The transfer sees the forward join capital outfit Nairobi City on undisclosed sum on a six-month loan deal. The move is the latest among a number of potential transfers of Real De Banjul players to oversea clubs at the end of the season. Sanneh has been an invaluable asset in Real’s successful campaign for the GFF premier league title. “The club will like to thank Ebrima for his efforts in guiding the team to its twelfth league title and wish him all the best at the Kawangware club,” Real de Banjul confirming the deal said in a statement over the weekend. Gambian gaffer Bai Maleh had coached the Kenyan clubfor a number of seasons and it is however unclear whether he’s behind the move. Ebrima joins a club that finished a step above the 16-team Kenyan premier league the previous season and are currently 11th-placed on a merely fourteen points in sixteen league matches played so far. Nairobi City Stars’ woes to the league sees no sign of abating enduring five defeat, eight draws with just two wins. It is however hoped, the acquisition of the Gambian youngster could offer the club a much needed bolstering in a bid to reverse the tables.]]>
