The Attorney General and Minister of Justice should address this question which is been raised by those who are confused about the procedure adopted. This is important to ensure consistency in practice to prevent miscarriage of justice.
Evidence is to be provided against those who are already charged with a crime and unless they are given the right to respond, people will not know the whole truth. In the same vein, certain people are confessing to deeds that are equally as heinous as that allegedly committed by those being tried. How fair is it to deprive them from appearing before the Commission when allegations are been made against them by others before the Commission? Equality before the law is a fundamental objective that should be held under all circumstances.
