The University of The Gambia is an emerging institution whose administrators, lecturers and students need exposure. This is inconceivable without developing partnerships with established research institutions and foundations. Research is the foundation for knowledge production. No nation could survive without thinkers. No thinkers could deliver without academic freedom. Section 25 of the Constitution states that, “Every person shall have the right to freedom of thought ………..which shall include academic freedom” We hope that the authorities would give relevance to the existence of ECOWAS and the importance of multinational collaborations in all endeavours. In some cases justice is best served by withdrawing charges against people who have no intention to violate the Laws of a country.]]>
