Gambian wrestler, Manduwar has refuted receiving any advanced payment, Foroyaa Sport can report.
There were ubiquitous reports that Manduwar has been paid money as a way of accepting proposal to fight Big Tree. Other reports from the grapevine in fact claimed that a date has been fixed for the D-day.
But the man from club Jeff Jell has opened up for the first time debunking the assertions.
Talking to Foroyaa Sport at Manjai Field he said: ‘I have not received anything from any promoter at this point in time. All that is being said about the combat regarding the money issue, well I have cleared my side of the story-I have received nothing for now.’
Manduwar, one of the prominent starlets of the Gambian arena, is remembered for his cracking duel with Mboran at the Independence Stadium –a bout he eventually lost.
