Ebou Jarra, the Coach for the Gambia Armed Forces Football Club said he wants to win more matches than to draw or lose. He said this in a post-match interview with Foroyaa after a goalless draw against Steve Biko.

Armed Forces are sitting 3rd in the League table scoring 5 goals and conceding 3. The soldiers are 2 points behind the table toppers, Brikama United and have a game in-hand against Hawks. The Soldiers only loss this season was a 1-0 loss against the telecoms boys- Gamtel.

“We are contented with the 1 point and keeping a clean sheet again. Last year we kept 13 clean sheets and that helped us to clinch the title. For us Biko, we beat them last season twice and we know it will not be an easy task. They lost their last game and conceded 4 goals in their two previous matches and that was not good for them. I can see that they worked on their defence line not to concede a goal against us today,” Jarra Said.

“We won two and at the same time drawn two and lost one; and we are yet to play Hawks which will probably be a test for both teams”

GAF will face Tallinding United, sitting 8th on the League Table on January 6th 2018.

Jarra was once quoted saying ‘We have trained hard for this season to win both the FA and League Cup and we will work towards that. My team is capable of winning both titles. I believe my boys can win possibly the two cups. The victory is one step towards achieving our aim and we will fight to win every match,’ Jarra
