It was yet another gong added to Demba Savage’s trophy haul after the winger helped Helsinki win the Finnish Cup for the 14th time.

The winger was involved in the Suomen Cup final –equivalent of the FA Cup –earning him and club side HJK automatic place in the Europa League qualifiers next season.

The 29-year-old is on five goals so far this season, featuring in a combined twenty-one league games.

This is Savage’s second Finnish FA Cup medal after the first in 2014, bringing his number of Cup wins to nine in his eleven-year professional football career.

A trophy double looks imminent for the capital side as they lead the table with a massive sixteen points between them and second-placed Lahti with just six games to conclusion of the league.
