Teams in Wuli East are preparing ahead of the forthcoming FA Zonal championship, which kick-
starts on Tuesday 14/05/2017 between Sutukoba United FC and Foday Kunda.
The championship is powered by the Wuli East Football Association at a tune D15, 000 with a trophy, says FA chairman Youkasseh Camara.
The tournament is a five-horse race to be competed by Sutukoba United FC, Pasamass FC, Briffu FC, Murreh Kunda FC and Foday Kunda FC.
The competition, Camara continued, is aimed at developing sports at the grassroots level and to avail youths chance to showcase their footballing talent.
Mr. Camara commended the FA for the gesture and called on players to be discipline and adhere to the rules to ensure the smooth running of the championship.
For his part the head coach of Sutukoba United FC, Nfamara Jatta, dubbed Njolly Jatta, voiced delight and thanked the FA for what he described as a humanitarian gesture that will go a long way in developing sports not only in the district, but the nation at large; and challenged the FA to come up with more of these significant initiatives. He finally registered his optimisms that his team will clinch the trophy.
