President Adama Barrow completed his thanks giving nationwide tour on Sunday 2nd April, 2017. He and his 
entourage held meetings in the Buffer Zone in Tallinding, Bakau and Banjul.
Speaking at the various meetings, the president pledged that in six [6] months’ time electricity in The Gambia will be steady and the bill will be equally reduced, that, this is just a temporal solution and the permanent solution will be fulfilled within 2 years.
President Barrow promised to improve on infrastructural development in sectors such as water and electricity supply, feeder road construction. He also promised to improve gardening by women, youth employment, amongst others.
Continuing, he asserted that by the power bestowed on him, he will reconcile Gambia with other sister countries which were not in terms with the country, adding that the first phase of his movement was to remove the former President Yahya Jammeh from power and the second phase is to work towards the development of the country.
He gave warning to APRC that the Kanifing Municipal Council [KMC] is not a political Institution, therefore they should not hold any political meetings or rallies in the premises of the Bureau; that anyone holding meetings in that place shall answer to the call of the law.
Addressing the people of Banjul, President Barrow promised that in the next 5 years, Banjul will experience a big difference because he has plans for Banjul, noting that he had discussions with some companies to lease Banjul. He revealed that in 1980, Banjul was better taken care of than the Banjul of recent years. But he promised infrastructural development that will enable Banjul to regain its status as the capital.
He expressed delight and commended the people of Banjul for contributing immensely to his victory and also urged them to manifest the same thing in the forthcoming National Assembly Elections and for the right and competent candidates who can be their voice and can be able to represent them in parliament.
He called on them to cooperate, be patient, tolerant, avoid violence and have mutual comprehension amongst themselves in order to be able to join hands in promoting and protecting the development agenda of the government.
