Two days after the beginning of the campaign period, electoral broadcast is yet to begin. It is strange that performance in electoral broadcast is falling behind what existed in the past.
The campaign period should go hand in hand with giving equal access to the national media to the different candidates by different stakeholders.
It is therefore necessary for the Director General to negotiate with the IEC and ensure equal media access.
