Former Scorpions’ forward Alagie Sosseh is aiming to get signed to a club prior to start of the season as he trials with Dalkurd, Foroyaa Sport can report.
The 30-year-old goal-getter is a free agent after failing to sign a revised contract with IK Frej, a club in the second tier in Sweden.
However Sosseh has moved on from that incident and is seeking to secure a new employer as he auditions with Omar Jagne’s Dalkurd.
Dalkurd missed out on promotion to the first division last year and are ready to launch a successful bid this time come start of the new league term and to do that, the side is prioritizing signing one more striker and are hoping that becomes Sosseh.
Alagie has been trialing there since turn of February with a decision whether to sign him or not to be made likely this week.
The former Hammarby defender-turned striker is a journeyman player, having played in Norway, Iran before returning to Sweden at end of last season. That transfer was fueled by desire to stay close to his family who are permanently based in Stockholm.
Sosseh will be the second Gambian in Dalkurd’s roster should he sign a contract with them.
