Ali Sowe debuts for new club

By Sulayman Bah Gambia striker Ali Sowe has made his first appearance for his Ali Sowenew club Pescara in a goalless league match affair. The 20-year-old climbed off the substitutes’ bench before seven thousand, three hundred and thirty-six fans just four minutes from time replacing winger Politano. His involvement merely caused the Trapani defence electric runs down the right wing without scoring. Pescara are yet to pick their first three points in as two matches as they settled for yet another stalemate encounter against second-placed Ternana. In that episode, Ali Sowe was reduced to a bench-warmer playing no part in the match, other strikes preferred on the front line. Sowe and co take on Bologna tomorrow in what will be their third domestic league fixture. Ali –the sole Gambian plying his trade in Italy – joined second division club Pescare from parent club Serie A club Chivo Verona on a season-long loan. Sowe spent the entire of last league campaign at Juve-Verona who eventually couldn’t stay up in the second tier.    ]]>
