Lamin Jallow has left Italy Serie A side Chievo Verona on a six-month loan deal.

The Gambia international departs parent side Verona to join second tier side Trapani. Jallow accepted the proposal to move in a bid to rake up more playing time having seen chances hard to come by at Verona.

Trapani are basement occupiers in the second division managing only sixteen (16) points in twenty-two (22) league matches, losing ten of those games, a thing that makes them likely candidates for relegation.

Capitalizing on Jallow’s clamouring for playing time and seeing the Scorpion a possible boost to their misfiring strike force, Trapani raided Chievo for their young striker and last week had their man but on a short-term deal.

Announcing his decision to move, Jallow said: ‘t’s a pleasure to announce that I’ve officially signed a 6-month loan (deal) with a Serie B team Trapani Calcio!!’

Continuing, the 22-year-old said, ‘I would first of all thank Allah and all my friends and family who’ve been with me through thin and thick times!
‘I would want to send special thanks and appreciation to my parent team CHIEVO VERONA for finally letting me go on a six months loan as a young player to explore my talent with other teams and to build up my experience in football.

‘Special thanks goes to my current team Trapani Calcio. Thank you for putting your trust in me and having the confident that I can help raise the team from where they’re and then doing anything possible to get me on the team. I really appreciate the love from teammates, staffs and more especially the fans I love you all…. I pledge never to let your hopes down. Football is football and talent is talent but the mindset of the team makes all the difference and the person that said winning isn’t everything, I have never won anything and am definitely a winner. We’re all winners. And, with the team spirit, I’m sure we will all work as a team to lift TRAPANI to higher height. I will deliver as expected to see the team in Serie A next season Insha Allah!’

Jallow has  a lengthy contract with Chievo ending in 2020.
