Jalamang Suwareh, a youth from Baddibu Kerewan has called on members of cabinet and those holding high position in the 
public service to write to President Jammeh asking him to step down on the 18 January, 2017 failing which they should immediately leave office.
‘’As good sons and daughters of the country we are calling on the Vice President, Cabinet Ministers, the Speaker, the Majority Leader, Mayors and others in similar positions to follow suit by writing to the outgoing president publicly asking him to step down and give a peace a chance,” he asserted. Suwareh said this is what they should do as the likes of the ambassadors did. He said they should emulate the likes of Dr. Sedat Jobe, who resigned from his position when outgoing President Jammeh asked the British high Commissioner to leave The Gambia within 72 hours without consulting him as a Foreign Affairs Minister.
He said all holders of high office should practice the culture of resigning from their position whenever they feel they are not competent to carry out the duties or have failed Gambians and they don’t want to be part of that episode.
Mr. Suwareh said there is no electricity in Kerewan, an administrative Headquarters at large, as the generator that was in use was removed and taken away without explanation. because the people of Kerewan opposed the outgoing president. According to him, the generator can supply the whole of Lower Baddibu with adequate electricity.
Suwareh thanked all the good citizens of the country and friends of The Gambia who have urged outgoing President Jammeh to allow peace to reign by accepting the result of the 1st December 2016 presidential poll as the will of the Gambian people so that The Gambia will continue to enjoy peace, love and stability. Everything in this world must come to an end either today or tomorrow exempt the oneness of Allah’’ he explains.
